Photothermal therapy (PTT) holds significant potential for the treatment of malignant tumors. However, conventional single PTT often struggles to effectively inhibit tumor metastasis and recurrence. In this study, we constructed a MOF nanoparticle with a synergistic therapeutic effect combining photothermal and immunotherapy, enabling selective blocking of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway within the tumor microenvironment. Firstly, MOF nanoparticles were synthesized using NH-TPDC as ligands and Zr as metal ions. Subsequently, NH was modified to N via azide transfer reagents. Through a copper free catalytic click chemical reaction, the PD-1/PD-L1 blocking agent AUNP-12 functionalized with disulfide bonds of DBCO was covalently introduced into MOF nanoparticles which were then loaded with the photothermal agent indocyanine green (ICG) to successfully obtain uniformly sized and stable ICG-MOF-SS-AUNP12 nanoparticles. ICG-MOF-SS-AUNP12 exhibited GSH-triggered release of PD-1/PD-L1 blockers while demonstrating potent photothermal effects capable of efficiently killing tumor cells. Under 808 nm near-infrared (NIR) irradiation, ICG-MOF-SS-AUNP12 effectively promoted the maturation of DC cells and activated immune responses. This study presents a novel method for constructing MOF-based nanodrugs and offers new possibilities for the synergistic treatment of tumors involving photothermal combined with immunotherapy.

Enhancing the catalytic performance and durability of M-N─C catalyst is crucial for the efficient operation of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) and Zn-Air batteries (ZABs). Herein, an approach is developed for the in situ fabrication of a MOFs-derived porous carbon material, co-loaded with Co nanoparticles (NPs) and Co-N sites and integrated onto Fe-doped carbon nanotubes (CNTs), named Co-NC/Fe-NCNTs. Incorporating polymer-wrapped CNTs improves MOFs dispersion annealing at high temperature, which amplifies the three-phase boundary (TPB) by generating much more mesopores and exposing additional active sites within the catalysts layer.

Background: Trimethylamine (TMA) is a colorless, volatile gas with a strong irritating odor. Prolonged exposure to a certain amount of TMA can cause symptoms such as dizziness, nausea and difficulty breathing, and may even be life-threatening. Therefore, effective detection of TMA is crucial.

Chrysoidin (CG) can be ingested into the human body through the skin and cause chronic toxicity, so the detection of CG levels in the environment is crucial. In this study, we synthesize F-Ag@ZIF-8/PVC molecular-imprinted membranes (FZAP-MIM) by an innovative combination of SERS detection, membrane separation, and a molecular-imprinted technique in order to perform the analysis of CG in water. The plasmonic MOF material as a SERS substrate helps to enrich the target and realize the spatial overlap of the target with the nanoparticle tip "hotspot".

Constructing fast electron transfer pathways and abundant electro-active sites is an effective strategy to improve the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance of catalysts. Herein, structural engineering and dual-phase engineering were employed to construct a NiS nanoparticle-encapsulated MOF configured with a pseudo-neuronal structure (NiS/MOF/HT). It was found that the pseudo-neuronal structure, constructed with a carbon nanohorn (CNH) and carbon nanotube (CNT), provided fast electron transfer pathways and abundant exposed active sites.

It is an important task to construct intelligent packaging for meat freshness monitoring with good color stability and indication function. Herein, cobalt-based metal-organic framework nanomaterials (Co-MOF, ZIF-67) with antimicrobial and ammonia-sensitive properties were successfully synthesized and added into gelatin/agar (GA) matrix to develop highly stable intelligent films (GA/ZIF67). The incorporation of ZIF-67 nanoparticles enhanced the hydrophobicity (water contact angle >90°) and UV-blocking properties (close to 0.
