Antimony triselenide (Sb Se ) has possessed excellent optoelectronic properties and has gained interest as a light-harvesting material for photovoltaic technology over the past several years. However, the severe interfacial and bulk recombination obviously contribute to significant carrier transport loss thus leading to the deterioration of power conversion efficiency (PCE). In this work, buried interface and heterojunction engineering are synergistically employed to regulate the film growth kinetic and optimize the band alignment. Through this approach, the orientation of the precursor films is successfully controlled, promoting the preferred orientational growth of the (hk1) of the Sb Se films. Besides, interfacial trap-assisted nonradiative recombination loss and heterojunction band alignment are successfully minimized and optimized. As a result, the champion device presents a PCE of 9.24% with short-circuit density (J ) and fill factor (FF) of 29.47 mA cm and 63.65%, respectively, representing the highest efficiency in sputtered-derived Sb Se solar cells. This work provides an insightful prescription for fabricating high-quality Sb Se thin film and enhancing the performance of Sb Se solar cells.

The interface between the perovskite layer and the electron transport layer is an extremely important factor that cannot be ignored in achieving high-performance perovskite photovoltaic technology. However, the void defects of the interface pose a serious challenge for high performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). To address this, we report a polydentate ligand reinforced chelating strategy to strengthen the stability of the buried interface by managing interfacial defects and stress.

In recent years, luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) have gained a renaissance as a pivotal transparent photovoltaic (PV) for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPVs). However, most of the studies focused on light-selective LSCs, and less attention was paid to the utilization of the full solar spectrum. In this study, a lead-free microcrystal CsAgNaBiInCl (CANBIC) perovskite phosphor is demonstrated to have bifunctional effects of luminescent down-shifting (LDS) and light scattering for the fabrication of LSCs, realizing light response from ultraviolet (UV) to NIR regions by an edge-mounted Si solar cell.

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have achieved impressive efficiency, but their commercialization is limited by issues like chemical homogeneity within the perovskite films, leading to defects and phase segregation, which severely compromise the stability and performance of PSCs. This study presents a novel approach to overcoming these barriers by employing N,N-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) as a multifunctional crosslinking agent within the perovskite structure. MBA enhances chemical uniformity both laterally and vertically, improves crystallinity, and boosts overall film stability by forming a robust crosslinked network that regulates nucleation and growth dynamics during the pre-seeding process.

Nonfullerene acceptors are critical in advancing the performance of organic solar cells. However, unfavorable morphology and low photon-to-electron conversion in the acceptor range continue to limit the photocurrent generation and overall device performance. Herein, benzoic anhydride, a low-cost polar molecule with excellent synergistic properties, is introduced in combination with the traditional additive 1-chloronaphthalene to optimize the aggregation of nonfullerene acceptors.
