First-principles calculations were performed on a plutonium and americium mixed oxide (PuAmO), aiming at revealing the effects of electron correlation, Pu/Am 5f-conduction electrons' hybridization, and relativity on its electronic properties. The many-body calculation suggests that the spin-orbit-coupling (SOC)-splitting of = 5/2 and = 7/2 manifolds are both in the weakly and moderately correlated states, respectively, implying that the coupling scheme is more appropriate for Pu/Am 5f electrons. The density of states, 5f occupation numbers, and Green's functions all suggest that both Pu and Am 5f electrons exhibit the coexistence of the localized and delocalized states. The admixture of 5f atomic configurations, Pu/Am 5f-conduction electrons' hybridization, and dual characteristics of 5f electrons yield average occupation numbers of 5f electrons = 4.78 and 5.86 for Pu and Am ions, respectively. Within the DFT+DMFT calculation, the weighted-summation-derived occupation numbers in terms of 5f/5f/5f and 5f/5f configurations for Pu and Am 5f electrons, respectively, are in reasonable agreement with those of other DFT-based calculations.

Background: Depending upon their organization and content, medical conferences can enhance wellness or create additional stress for physician attendees. The objective of our study was to examine the degree to which major medical specialty and subspecialty conferences incorporate wellness into their meeting programs.
Methods: We performed a cross-sectional study of major medical conferences occurring in 2023 representing specialties and subspecialties with the greatest number of active physicians.

Background: Fertility preferences refer to the number of children an individual would like to have, regardless of any obstacles that may stand in the way of fulfilling their aspirations. Despite the creation and application of numerous interventions, the overall fertility rate in West African nations, particularly Nigeria, is still high at 5.3% according to 2018 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey data.

Background: Organizational multilevel interventions have been called for as a means to improve psychosocial working conditions, reduce stress, and enhance wellbeing in organizations. However, these types of interventions are highly complex to implement and evaluate, and they remain scarce in the literature. In this study, we present the evaluation of a multilevel intervention conducted in a municipality setting.

Unlabelled: Poor consumption of fruits and vegetables is associated with an increased risk of non-communicable diseases, micronutrient deficiency, and undernutrition. Fruit and vegetable consumption is generally low worldwide, particularly in rural regions of many low- and middle-income countries. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and determinants of zero vegetable or fruit consumption among children aged 6 to 23 months in Kenya using the most recent Kenya Demographic and Health Survey.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the self-perception of voice at different times and the influence of age, number of infections, underlying diseases, and occupational voice use among individuals with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), with or without a history of hospitalization.
Methods: Data were collected from adults and older adults with COVID-19, treated at a Brazilian Military Hospital between April 2020 and May 2023. The questionnaire was sent by email and a messaging application.
