Temporal-thermal enhancement of porous cooking burners.

Sci Rep

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Tarbiat Modares University, P.O. Box 14115-143, Tehran, Iran.

Porous combustion has drawn vast attention over the last few decades leading to a variety of progressing applications particularly in industrial kitchens and household appliances that require time sensitive heating. The present study experimentally investigates the relationship between cooking duration and the thermal efficiency of a cooking pot heated on a porous burner providing a valuable insights into the effectiveness of the heating process in terms of both time and fuel consumption. To facilitate this investigation, a dedicated test bench is designed and constructed, equipped with thermometers and timer to effectively monitor the temporal/thermal behavior of the heating process.

Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between δ-catenin expression and whole-brain small-world network in breast cancer patients before chemotherapy using rs-fMRI. The study was based on the hypothesis that different δ-catenin expression levels correspond to distinct brain imaging characteristics. A total of 105 pathologically confirmed breast cancer patients were collected and categorized into high δ-catenin expression (DH, 52 cases) and low expression (DL, 53 cases) groups.

Fine-grained restoration of Mongolian patterns based on a multi-stage deep learning network.

Sci Rep

College of Computer and Information Engineering, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Huhhot, 010000, Inner Mongolia, China.

Mongolian patterns are easily damaged by various factors in the process of inheritance and preservation, and the traditional manual restoration methods are time-consuming, laborious, and costly. With the development of deep learning technology and the rapid growth of the image restoration field, the existing image restoration methods are mostly aimed at natural scene images. They do not apply to Mongolian patterns with complex line texture structures and high saturation-rich colors.
