A new dual functional HS donor for fluorescence imaging and anti-inflammatory application.

This study explored FL-HS, a novel fluorescein-based HS donor, as an anti-inflammatory agent. The results demonstrated the efficient release of HS by FL-HS, along with its biocompatibility, real-time intracellular HS release and imaging capability. experiments using a rat model confirmed the anti-inflammatory effects of FL-HS, evidenced by reduced foot swelling. We also successfully elucidated the anti-inflammatory mechanism through ELISA and WB analysis.
