Concentration-dependent dielectric response for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Aceclofenac (ACF) and Diclofenac (DCF) in the aqueous leucine solution have been reported at different concentrations and temperatures (298.15 K to 283.15 K). The time domain reflectometry technique in the frequency region of 1 GHz to 30 GHz was used for the present study. Complex permittivity (ε*), static dielectric constant (ε), dielectric relaxation time (τ), dipole moment (μ) and Kirkwood correlation factor (g) have been calculated and discussed in terms of the molecular interaction of water and the used drugs. To give more insights into the structural dynamics of drug-induced amino acids, the study includes molar enthalpy of activation (ΔH), entropy of activation (ΔS), and free energy of activation (ΔF). The overall study concludes that the drug (DCF) having a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase found a higher static dielectric constant (ε) than that of the drug (ACF) having more carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O) in the chain, which is more efficient in controlling pain.Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Sarma.

Spherical tanks have been predominantly used in process industries due to their large storage capability. The fundamental challenges in process industries require a very efficient controller to control the various process parameters owing to their nonlinear behavior. The current research work in this paper aims to propose the Approximate Generalized Time Moments (AGTM) optimization technique for designing Fractional-Order PI (FOPI) and Fractional-Order PID (FOPID) controllers for the nonlinear Single Spherical Tank Liquid Level System (SSTLLS).

Novel Human Activity Recognition (HAR) methodologies, which are built upon learning algorithms and employ ubiquitous sensors, have achieved remarkable precision in the identification of sports activities. Such progress benefits all age groups of humanity, and in the future, AI will be used to address difficult problems in scientific research. A novel approach is introduced in this article to utilize motion sensor data in order to categorize and distinguish various categories of sports activities.

Objective: Inflammation and oxidative damage play critical roles in the pathogenesis of sepsis-induced cardiac dysfunction. Multiple EGF-like domains 9 (MEGF9) is essential for cell homeostasis; however, its role and mechanism in sepsis-induced cardiac injury and impairment remain unclear.

Methods: Adenoviral and adeno-associated viral vectors were applied to overexpress or knock down the expression of MEGF9 in vivo and in vitro.

Chronic pain is highly prevalent among older adults, is associated with cognitive deficits, and is commonly treated in primary care. We sought to document the extent of impairment across specific neurocognitive domains and its correlates among older adults with chronic pain in primary care. We analyzed baseline data from the Problem Adaptation Therapy for Pain trial, which examined a psychosocial intervention to improve emotion regulation in 100 adults ≥ 60 years with comorbid chronic pain and negative emotions, who did not have evidence of moderate-to-severe cognitive impairment.

Background: Automatic classification of arrhythmias based on electrocardiography (ECG) data faces several significant challenges, particularly due to the substantial volume of clinical data involved in ECG signal analysis. The volume of clinical data has increased considerably, especially with the emergence of new clinical symptoms and signs in various arrhythmia conditions. These symptoms and signs, which serve as distinguishing features, can number in the tens of thousands.
