Introduction: Statins are frequently prescribed to lower the risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular-related diseases. While statins are considered safe, there are occasional accidental overdoses in children that warrant concern for how to protect children from unintended consumption. We aimed to determine which statins were more prone to injury, characterize the injury types commonly seen for each statin, assess the age at which statin-related injuries were most frequent, and compare statin-related injuries among genders.

Background: Acute heart failure (AHF) is a common emergency department (ED) presentation that may have poor outcomes but often does not require hospital admission. There is little evidence to guide dispositional decisions.
Objectives: The authors sought to create a risk score for predicting short-term serious outcomes (SSO) in patients with AHF.

Background: The postoperative period and subsequent discharge planning are critical in our continued efforts to decrease the risk of complications after THA. Patients discharged to skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) have consistently exhibited higher readmission rates compared with those discharged to home healthcare. This elevated risk has been attributed to several factors but whether readmission is associated with patient functional status is not known.

Objectives: Previous research cites mindfulness as a protective factor against risky substance use, but the specific association between dispositional mindfulness (DM) and cannabis use has been inconsistent. Despite known heterogeneity of DM facets across college students, much of the prior research in this area has relied on variable-centered approaches. Only a handful of prior studies within the cannabis literature have utilized person-centered approaches, and only one has specifically examined unique profiles of dispositional mindfulness in relation to patterns of use among college students.
