The study on (Orange Jasmine) stem bark extract found it to have antioxidant and cytotoxic proper-ties. The structures of the isolated phytoconstituents were determined using NMR spectroscopy. Compounds were evaluated for their potential to be aldose reductase inhibitors using molecular docking and dynamics (MD) simulations.

Background: Cross-sectoral collaborations as exemplified by the One Health approach, are widely endorsed as pragmatic avenues for addressing zoonotic diseases, but operationalisation remain limited in low-and-middle income countries (LMICs). Complexities and competing interests and agendas of key stakeholders and the underlying politico-administrative context can all shape outcomes of collaborative arrangements. Evidence is building that organised collaborations are complex political initiatives where different objectives; individual and institutional agendas need to be reconciled to incentivise collaborations.

The enigmatic haptomonad forms of Leishmania parasites adhere to the sandfly stomodeal valve, damaging this feeding valve and promoting parasite transmission. Yanase et al. recently identified the first parasite proteins involved in adhesion and showed their essentiality in binding to and damaging the valve.

This narrative review article explores the complex interplay between obesity, osteoarthritis, and their associated inflammatory cascades, offering a deeper understanding of the underlying of mechanisms of inflammation and potential therapeutic interventions targeting both diseases. Through examination of the shared inflammatory pathway of obesity and osteoarthritis, our objective is to directly elucidate the relationship between these two conditions, highlighting the promising role of glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists in modulating inflammation and its therapeutic implications for patients with obesity and osteoarthritis.

Objective: Kisspeptin, encoded by the gene, ties puberty and fertility to energy status; however, the metabolic factors that control -expressing cells need to be clarified.
Methods: To evaluate the impact of IGF-1 on the metabolic and reproductive functions of kisspeptin producing cells, we created mice with IGF-1 receptor deletion driven by the promoter (IGF1R mice). Previous studies have shown IGF-1 and insulin can bind to each other's receptor, permitting IGF-1 signaling in the absence of IGF1R.
