A total of 20 atrophic maxillary sinuses were augmented with recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor BB (rhPDGF-BB), alloplast, and bovine xenograft using a direct approach. CBCT imaging was performed at baseline, immediately postoperatively, and at 6 and 30 months postoperatively. A histologic evaluation revealed the bone bridging and bone regenerative efficacy of the graft material. Radiographic evaluation determined the ridge height (H) and volume of the graft (V) to be as 3.02 ± 1.35 mm at baseline (H0), 15.18 ± 2.52 mm (H1) and 1,106.10 ± 398.84 mm3 (V1) immediately postoperatively, 14.79 ± 2.30 mm (H2) and 1,086.95 ± 396.86 mm3 (V2) at 6 months, and 1,058 ± 391.83 mm3 (V3) at 30 months, with a significant gain in the residual ridge height at 6 months and no significant loss or gain in sinus volume postoperatively.

Background: The pre-extraction overbuilding procedure was designed aiming to mitigate buccal bone resorption following tooth extraction. The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of pre-extraction and juxta-extraction buccal overbuilding treatments in preserving buccal bone volume following tooth extraction.
Material And Methods: At the test sites (pre-extraction sites), an alveolar crest overbuilding was performed on the buccal aspect of the distal root of the fourth premolar using a xenograft covered with a collagen membrane.

Digital orthodontics has been integrated into NasoAlveolar Molding (NAM) therapy to overcome challenges in the conventional NAM method. This study introduced an individualized Digital NAM (iDNAM) and evaluated the changes in the alveolar ridges and nasolabial morphology after iDNAM treatment. Prospective data were collected from 15 infants with complete unilateral cleft lip and palate who underwent iDNAM therapy.

Hypothesis: The presence of a wetting ridge is crucial for many wetting phenomena on soft substrates. Conventional experimental observations of a wetting ridge require permanent presence of a droplet. The magnetic field-induced plasticity effect (FIPE) of soft magnetoative elastomers (MAEs) allows one to overcome this limitation.

Despite the importance of the effect of subnanoscale roughness on contact line behavior, it is difficult to directly observe the local behavior of contact lines at the micro- and nanoscale, leaving significant gaps in our current understanding. In this research, we investigate contact line motions and their relationship with nanoscale surface topography using coherence scanning interferometry. Our experiments were conducted on the substrates with different wettability without changing nanoscale surface topography.

Objectives: To evaluate the clinical and radiographic results of transalveolar sinus floor elevation (TSFE) with grafting in cases of severely atrophic maxilla.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis of clinical and radiographic data was conducted. Between 2015 and 2018, a total of 105 implants were placed in 105 patients over a follow-up period of 5-8 years.
