Objective: There was also a lack of data regarding the effect of follicle size, endometrial thickness, and ovarian stimulation as predictors of intrauterine insemination (IUI) success rate in Indonesia, especially in the Aster Clinic and Bandung Fertility Centre. This study was performed to explore the relationship between follicle size, endometrial thickness, and types of ovarian stimulation (Clomiphene citrate/CC vs Letrozole) with biochemical pregnancy rate in women undergone IUI. We performed a case-control study in 122 women aged 20-40 years with unexplained infertility who had completed the IUI program for a maximum of three cycles. Data were extracted from medical records. Independent T-test and multivariate analyses were used to analyse the difference between variables using IBM SPSS 24.0. P-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
Result: Follicle sizes of 18-22 mm in both Clomiphene citrate (CC) and Letrozole groups were shown to increase biochemical pregnancy rate (P = 0.001). There is no relationship between endometrial thickness and pregnancy rate. Biochemical pregnancy rate in women using Letrozole was 1.513 times higher than women using CC. The follicle size of 18-22 mm and using Letrozole rather than CC as ovarian stimulators are predictive factors associated with a higher pregnancy rate in women undergone IUI.

Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETS) are common intracranial tumors, but extrasellar or ectopic PitNETS are very rare and supposed to originate from some pituitary remnants. They are mostly found in sphenoidal sinus. But particularly, ectopic clival PitNETS are highly aggressive and can cause bone invasion and can be misdiagnosed as other lesions of the skull base such as chordomas.

The objective of the present study was to determine the diameter, area, circumference, and blood flow of the corpus luteum (CL) using transrectal ultrasonography in female alpacas with and without the presence of an embryo on Day 9 post-mating, the time of maternal recognition of pregnancy (MRP). For this purpose, 12 female alpacas with follicles ≥ 7 mm were mated with fertile males and treated with 0.0084 mg of buserelin acetate (Day 0).

Study Question: Does FSH induce free radical generation with substantial oxidative damage in human cumulus granulosa cells (cGCs) and mural granulosa cells (mGCs)?
Summary Answer: FSH of both physiological and supraphysiological concentrations induced free radical generation on subcellular levels, most notably in the mitochondria, while the elevated free radical load caused neglectable oxidative damage in both cGCs and mGCs.
What Is Known Already: FSH is fundamental for regulation of granulosa cell (GC) function and oocyte maturation, during which a physiological level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is essential, while excessive amounts lead to oxidative damage. Potential adverse effects of high FSH doses on GCs may be mediated by ROS.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder characterized by irregular menstrual cycles, hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovarian morphology, leading to infertility and an increased risk of metabolic dysfunction. This study investigated the protective effects of Lepidium sativum seed extract (LSSE) on fertility and pregnancy outcomes in a rat model of PCOS induced by letrozole and a high-fat diet (HFD) (68% regular rat food pellets, 6% maize oil, 20% milk powder, and 6% ghee). PCOS was induced by oral administration of letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor, (1 mg/kg in 2% DMSO) along with an HFD for four weeks and the results were compared to the metformin antidiabetic agent.

Aims: This study explores the therapeutic potential of a novel fermented extract, Thermus thermophilus fermentation extract (TTFE), in mitigating the effects of AGA.
Methods: The research integrates in vitro assays utilizing various hair-growth-related cells with a 12-week clinical trial involving 32 male subjects diagnosed with AGA.
