Background: Despite extensive literature studying how we make decisions in the face of uncertainty, the empirical study of real-world clinical decision-making in mental health practice remains limited. Decisions in clinical settings are not just made on the basis of clinical factors. A key non-clinical influence on decision making is the clinician's concerns about the 'threat' to themselves from a future adverse incident and the subsequent retrospective scrutiny of their decision-making.

Triterpenoids and steroids are structurally complex polycyclic natural products with potent biological functions, for example, as hormones. In all eukaryotes, the carbon skeletons of these compounds are generated by oxidosqualene cyclases, which carry out a polycyclization cascade to generate four or five rings with up to nine stereogenic centers in a targeted manner. The tight stereochemical control of this cascade reaction severely limits the stereochemical space accessible by known oxidosqualene cyclases.

We used a person-centered approach to: (1) elucidate distinct configurations of social and motor skills across subgroups of children, (2) determine how profiles map to autistic traits and behavioral tendencies, and (3) identify how children with and without different diagnoses are categorized within profiles. Parents/guardians (N = 538) of 5- to 15-year-olds reported on their children's autistic traits, social skills, motor skills, and behavioral tendencies. Factor scores were extracted as indicators for latent profile analysis and a series of profile solutions were generated.
