Background/aims: Pediatric patients with suspected gastroparesis often undergo antroduodenal manometry (ADM) and gastric emptying scintigraphy (GES) for diagnostic purposes. However, it is unknown if delayed gastric emptying (DGE) correlates with manometric findings. This study evaluates whether ADM parameters differ between normal and abnormal GES in pediatric patients.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided needle knife release with different pathways for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).

Methods: Sixty CTS patients were randomly divided into a transverse group and a longitudinal group, with 30 patients in each group. The transverse group received the needle knife release under ultrasound above and below the median nerve along the short axis, while the longitudinal group received the needle knife release under ultrasound above the median nerve along the long axis.

Background: In this study we investigate the selective compensation of paired peripheral nerves in healthy humans, focusing on distinct axonal conduction velocities in different fibre types. Using paired associative stimulation (PAS) with adjustable parameters, we aimed to modulate and compensate for neuronal activity along the median nerve.

Methods: Six healthy volunteers (3 male, 3 female, aged: 22-49) participated in the current study.

Background:  Accurately matching the correct fascicles in a ruptured mixed nerve is critical for functional recovery. This study investigates the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to differentiate motor and sensory fascicles in a mixed nerve.

Methods:  In all 40 rats, the median nerve in the left upper arm was evenly split into three segments.

Background: The dosage and intensity of physical therapy are crucial factors influencing the motor recovery of the hemiplegic lower limb in patients with subacute stroke. Biofeedback using wearable sensors may provide opportunities for patients with stroke to effectively guide self-exercises with monitoring of muscular activities in hemiplegic lower limbs. This study aims to explore the feasibility and safety of in-bed self-exercises based on electromyography sensor feedback in patients with subacute stroke.
