In the dynamic landscape of the Internet of Things (IoT), where smart devices are reshaping our world, nanomaterials can play a pivotal role in ensuring the IoT's sustainability. These materials are poised to redefine the development of smart devices, not only enabling cost-effective fabrication but also unlocking novel functionalities. As the IoT is set to encompass an astounding number of interconnected devices, the demand for environmentally friendly nanomaterials takes center stage. Thisspotlights cutting-edge research that explores the intersection of nanomaterials and sustainability. The collection delves deep into this critical nexus, encompassing a wide range of topics, from fundamental properties to applications in devices (e.g. sensors, optoelectronic synapses, energy harvesters, memory components, energy storage devices, and batteries), aspects concerning circularity and green synthesis, and an array of materials comprising organic semiconductors, perovskites, quantum dots, nanocellulose, graphene, and two-dimensional semiconductors. Authors not only showcase advancements but also delve into the sustainability profile of these materials, fostering a responsible endeavour toward a green IoT future.

Internet of Things (IoT) is changing patient engagement in healthcare by shifting from traditional care models to a continuous, technology-driven approach using IoT-based Remote Monitoring Systems (IoT-RMS). This research seeks to redefine patient engagement by examining how Internet of Things (IoT) technologies can impact healthcare management and patient-provider interactions at different phases. Additionally, it presents the relationship between patient engagement stages and IoT-RMS, which promotes patients' active participation using technological health management tools.

Government policies in the United States and the European Union promote standardization and value creation in the use of FAIR (findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability) data, which can enhance trust in digital health systems and is crucial for their success. Trust is built through elements such as FAIR data access, interoperability, and improved communication, which are essential for fostering innovation in digital health technologies. This Viewpoint aims to report on exploratory research demonstrating the feasibility of testing a patient-centric data flow model facilitating semantic interoperability on precision medical information.

Background: Internet searches offer an indicator of public attention and possible demand for certain things. Studying the spatiotemporal characteristics of the public's concern for vaccination can determine the spatiotemporal distribution of demand for vaccines in China, and capture the changes in the health awareness of the Chinese population, thus informing future vaccination strategies.
Methods: Based on the collection of Baidu search indices for vaccination-related keywords in 363 cities in China, This paper seeks to explore the spatiotemporal changes and regional differences in public attention toward vaccination in China by using the seasonal index, seasonal concentration index, Herfindahl index, Moran index, and Dagum Gini coefficient.

The rise of big data and the internet of things has driven the demand for multimodal sensing and high-efficiency low-latency processing. Inspired by the human sensory system, we present a multifunctional optoelectronic-memristor-based reservoir computing (OM-RC) system by utilizing a CuSCN/PbS quantum dots (QDs) heterojunction. The OM-RC system exhibits volatile and nonlinear responses to electrical signals and wide-spectrum optical stimuli covering ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared (NIR) regions, enabling multitask processing of dynamic signals.
