To investigate the volatile components of (Turcz.) Bail (commonly known as northern ) of different colors and to explore their similarities and differences, to identify the main flavor substances in the volatile components of the branch exudates of northern , and finally to establish a fingerprint map of the volatile components of the dried fruits and branch exudates of northern of different colors, we used GC-IMS technology to analyze the volatile components of the dried fruits and branch exudates of three different colors of northern Schisandra and established a fingerprint spectra. The results showed that a total of 60 different volatile chemical components were identified in the branch exudates and dried fruits of . The components of germplasm resources with different fruit colors were significantly different. The ion mobility spectrum and OPLS-DA results showed that white and yellow fruits were more similar compared to red fruits. The volatile components in dried fruits were significantly higher than those in branch exudates. After VIP (variable importance in projection) screening, 41 key volatile substances in dried fruits and 30 key volatile substances in branch exudates were obtained. After screening by odor activity value (OAV), there were 24 volatile components greater than 1 in both dried fruits and branch exudates. The most important contributing volatile substance was 3-methyl-butanal, and the most important contributing volatile substance in white fruit was ()-2-hexenal.

Purpose: To report the clinical presentation, treatment course, and outcome of a case of bilateral frosted branch angiitis (FBA) and neuroretinitis associated with acute Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection in a pediatric patient with Turner Syndrome.
Methods: Case report with multimodal ocular imaging and extensive systemic workup.
Results: A 16-year-old female with Turner syndrome presented with acute bilateral vision loss, hearing loss, and ataxia.

Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) infection can cause ophthalmic diseases in immunocompetent patients, recipients of bone marrow transplants, and patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). This study describes the case of a healthy 37-year-old male who presented with unilateral anterior uveitis (AU), significant anterior chamber exudation, pupillary membrane closure, increased intraocular pressure, and eyelid edema. Notably, HHV-6A was the only pathogenic agent identified in the blood and aqueous humor.

To describe a case of frosted branch angiitis-like retinal vasculitis that developed after scleral buckle surgery. A single case was evaluated. Five days after nondrainage scleral buckle surgery with a segmental buckle and encircling band, an otherwise healthy 39-year-old man presented with frosted branch angiitis.

In the current study, we dosed Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) in mice by pharyngeal aspiration for 28 days or 90 days (weekly) and tried to elucidate the relationship between lamellar body formation and the lesions. When exposed for 28 days (0, 5, 10, 50, and 100 μg/head), all the mice in the 50 and 100 μg/head groups died since Day 2 after the third dosing (Day 16 after the first dosing). Edema, necrosis of bronchiolar and alveolar epithelium, and fibrinous exudate were observed in the lungs of all the dead mice, and chronic inflammatory lesions were observed in the lung tissues of alive mice.

Strigolactones (SLs) are allelochemicals attracting both symbiotic arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi and root parasitic plants and a novel class of phytohormones inhibiting lateral shoot branching. In general, nutrient deficiency significantly promotes SL production in roots and exudation into the rhizosphere, and also induces suppressed shoot branching phenotype in host plants of AM fungi including rice, tomato, maize, etc. Nutrient deficiencies also inhibit the shoot branching in Arabidopsis thaliana (hereafter Arabidopsis), a non-host of AM fungi, while the level of carlactone, a non-canonical SL and the SL precursor for the other SLs, was reported to be unaffected.
