Fins and radial fins are versatile engineering components that significantly enhance heat transfer and thermal management in diverse applications, hence improving efficiency and performance across several sectors. This study examines the temperature distribution in a radial porous fin under steady-state conditions, evaluating the impact of several significant parameters by utilizing a novel methodology. We specifically introduce an inclined magnetic field and examine the effects of convection and internal heat generation on the thermal behavior of the fin.

The utilization of ureteroscopy (URS) for managing urolithiasis has garnered substantial global recognition. Nonetheless, bibliometric analyses focusing on URS in the context of urolithiasis treatment remain sparse. Therefore, we used bibliometrics to summarize the relevant literature in this field in recent years, in order to grasp the core research directions, capture the developmental frontiers, and provide valuable information for urologists to understand the research hotspots.

Background: Exergames are interactive technology-based exercise programs. By combining physical and cognitive training components, they aim to preserve independence in older adults and reduce their risk of falling. This study explored whether primary end users (PEU, healthy older adults and patients with neurological and geriatric diagnoses) and secondary end users (SEU, health professionals) evaluated the ExerG functional model to be usable, providing a positive experience and therefore acceptable.

The monitoring of phthalate esters (PAEs) is challenging due to background contamination as well as the low selectivity observed when analyzing them by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) using electron ionization (EI). In this sense, alternative and soft ionization techniques could help to enhance the performance of the analytical determinations of PAEs in food samples. In this work, the use of a novel and soft ionization technique tube plasma ionization (TPI) has been explored to enhance the selectivity and sensitivity in the determination of PAEs in drinking water samples with GC-MS.
