Background: Anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty are highly successful procedures for treatment of glenohumeral arthritis to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and overall quality of life. However, the long-term survivorship of the implant systems is less widely documented in the existing literature. The purpose of this study was to establish the long-term patient outcomes and identify factors influencing the postoperative implant survivorship of total anatomic shoulder arthroplasty devices/procedures utilizing the short-stemmed prosthesis and hybrid glenoid components of the Comprehensive Shoulder System (Zimmer Biomet, Warsaw, IN, USA) at an average of ten years.

Colon-targeted drug delivery systems (CDDS) offer a promising alternative by leveraging the colon's unique physiology, such as near-neutral pH and extended transit time, to achieve localized and controlled drug release.

This surge contributes to a myopia epidemic linked to several ocular complications, including glaucoma. As myopic individuals age, the risk of developing glaucoma increases, and an additional concern arises from the growing frequency of refractive surgeries among younger individuals, making precise optic nerve assessments critical before surgery.

The great horned owl (Bubo virginianus) is a generalist predator that inhabits wide-ranging territories that are relatively stable throughout the year. These owls are also involved in a variety of human-owl conflicts, including killing of domestic poultry, predating colonially nesting seabirds and shorebirds, and pose a hazard to safe aircraft operations. Managing these conflict situations presents unique challenges as great horned owls are nocturnally active and occupy a wide range of habitats.
