Background: Speech variations appear at early stages of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and are potential early indicators. However, the commonly used neuropsychological assessment scales as screening tools for cognitive impairments have limitations due to possible subjective bias of the assessors and the lack of sensitivity in voice detection. We propose a solution based on machine learning for multi-dimensional feature extraction and data fusion of spontaneous speech signals.

The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) originated in 1992 via a Congressional appropriation to foster novel approaches to biomedical research in response to the expressed needs of its stakeholders-the American public, the military, and Congress. Currently there are 35 CDMRP programs each addressing a specific disease or condition. The Peer Reviewed Alzheimer's Research Program (PRARP) began in 2011 and has a vision to mitigate the impact of Alzheimer's and related dementias associated with military and diverse risks.

Objective: To propose a European consensus for managing and treating laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD) to guide primary care and specialist physicians.

Methods: Twenty-three European experts (otolaryngologists, gastroenterologists, surgeons) participated in a modified Delphi process to revise 38 statements about the definition, clinical management, and treatment of LPRD. Three voting rounds were conducted on a 5-point scale and a consensus was defined a priori as agreement by 80% of the experts.

Background: The involvement and engagement of people with lived experience is considered increasingly important in health research. A growing corpus of literature on the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health conditions, including people at psychosis high risk states, can be found. This study aims to explore the subjective experience of researchers and co-researchers with lived experience of psychosis high risk states who were involved in a participatory research project.

Analyzing the effect of collaborative interaction on subsequent decision-making tasks offers the potential to quantitatively evaluate criteria that are indicative of successful communication. While many studies have explored how collaboration aids decision-making, little is known about how communicative barriers, such as loud background noise or hearing impairment, affect this process.
