Virtual Reality (VR) technology enables users to immerse themselves in computer-generated environments, providing experiences that are otherwise difficult to attain in real life. VR has expanded from gaming into diverse fields, even the medical sector. In medical education, VR is mainly employed for anatomy and surgical practice, enhancing the learning experience by offering three-dimensional visualization and interaction with human structures.

The CRTS (China Railway Track System) II slab ballastless track is widely utilized in high-speed railway construction owing to its excellent structural integrity. However, its interfacial performance deteriorates under high-temperature conditions, leading to significant damage in structural details. Furthermore, the evolution of its performance under these conditions has not been comprehensively studied.

Background: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women in Nigeria where, the gap between need for, and access to, radiation therapy including brachytherapy is significant. This report documents the implementation of the first three-dimensional high-dose-rate (3D-HDR) brachytherapy service for cervical cancer in Nigeria.

Purpose: This report details the steps taken to implement the 3D-HDR brachytherapy program, the challenges faced, and the adaptive strategies employed to overcome them.

Background: Major aortopulmonary collateral arteries (MAPCAs) are rare remnants of pulmonary circulation embryological development usually associated with complex congenital anomalies of the right ventricular outflow tract and pulmonary arteries. Effective management requires surgical unifocalization of MAPCAs and native pulmonary arteries (NPAs). Traditional imaging may lack the spatial clarity needed for precise surgical planning.

Objective: This study evaluated the effect of three-dimensional (3D) volumetric humeral canal fill ratios (VFR) of reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) short and standard stems on biomechanical stability and bone deformations in the proximal humerus.

Methods: Forty cadaveric shoulder specimens were analyzed in a clinical computed tomography (CT) scanner allowing for segmentation of the humeral canal to calculate volumetric measures which were verified postoperatively with plain radiographs. Virtual implant positioning allowed for group assignment (VFR < 0.
