Introduction: Nitrous oxide (N2O) is commonly used in pediatric procedural sedation. It is an attractive option to facilitate intravenous line placement, as it does not extend sedation recovery from subsequently administered agents. Although debate exists regarding health consequences of occupational exposure now that scavenging of exhaled gases is common, cooperation of pediatric patients to maximize engineering controls is not guaranteed and can contribute to repeated exposure over the course of a clinician's career.

Severity assessment for coarctation of the aorta (CoA) is challenging due to concomitant morphological anomalies (complex CoA) and inaccurate Doppler-based indices. Promising diagnostic performance has been reported for the continuous flow pressure gradient (CFPG), but it has not been studied in complex CoA. Our objective was to characterize the effect of complex CoA and associated hemodynamics on CFPG in a clinical cohort.

Microplastics is known to be ubiquitous in aquatic environment. Quantification of microplastics in natural waters is an important problem of analytical chemistry, the solution of which is needed for the assessment of water quality and potential risks for water inhabitants and consumers. Separation methods play a key role in the correct quantification of microplastics in natural waters.

Accurate and continuous flow data are crucial for effective water management in large river basins worldwide. However, these catchments often face challenges regarding data continuity in the mainstream and their tributaries. This study proposes a methodological framework for enhancing flow data continuity that uses a staged calibration scheme of Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) modeling with an appropriate satellite precipitation product (SPP) for each watershed.
