: Neoantigens have attracted attention as ideal therapeutic targets for anti-tumour immunotherapy because the T cells that respond to neoantigens are not affected by central immune tolerance. Recent findings have revealed that the activation of CD4-positive T cells plays a central role in antitumor immunity, and thus targeting human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II-restricted neoantigens, which are targets of CD4-positive T cells, is of significance. However, there are very few detailed reports of neoantigen vaccine therapies that use an HLA class II-restricted long peptide.

Background: It has been demonstrated that COVID-19 vaccines confer significant protection, but temporal decay in the vaccine-induced antibodies has been reported; therefore, a third booster dose was considered. Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II molecules act as antigen presenting structures, play critical roles in the formation of an efficient antibody response. The current study aimed to evaluate the anti-receptor binding domain (RBD) antibody response after the booster dose of SpikoGen® vaccine in individuals with a history of Sinopharm primary vaccination series and its association with HLA-DQB1 and -DRB alleles.

CD204 is a distinct indicator for tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) in glioma. Evidence indicates that CD204-positive TAMs are involved in the aggressive behavior of various types of cancers. This study was conducted to develop a new and effective peptide-based vaccine for GBM, specifically targeting CD204.

Axial Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the spine associated with the gene HLA-B27. Non-radiographic spondyloarthritis (nr-SpA), an early stage of axial SpA often goes unrecognized in many settings including the Philippines. We describe five Filipinos from a tertiary health care facility who fulfill the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society (ASAS) 2009 criteria for non-radiographic SpA with the aim of increasing awareness of this disease in the Philippines.
