Ybdoped CsPbClmetal halide perovskite photodetectors (PDs) in the structure of CsPbCl(50 nm)/YbCl(nm)/CsPbCl(50 nm), in whichranges from 10 to 40 nm corresponding to the molar ratio from 6.3% to 25.2%, are fabricated by thermal evaporation on Si/SiOsubstrate. Photoresponse from 350 to 980 nm have been achieved with the optimal responsivity () of 3959, 5425, 955 A Wfor the case of 20 nm YbClat the wavelength () of 420, 680 and 980 nm, respectively. A series of photophysical and electrical characterization has been performed and it is found that the remarkably improved photoresponse originates from the combining effects of upconversion and defects passivation from Yb. Moreover, the optimal YbClthickness of 20 nm can be ascribed to the balance between upconversion and concentration quenching of Yb. The influence of the YbCldoping on the CsPbClelectronic structure is investigated and downshifting and stabilization of valence band maximum (VBM) can be attributed to the p-type doping and counteracting effect of Yband Cl, respectively.

Developing effective nanoplatforms for chemo-immunotherapy to achieve enhanced tumor suppression and systemic antitumor immunity has recently received extensive attention. Herein, we formulated a multifunctional DNA sandwich nanodevice, DSWAC/siPD-L1, based on triangular DNA origami, to implement enhanced cancer chemo-immunotherapy. Taking advantage of the tumor-targeting ability of the AS1411 aptamer, DSWAC/siPD-L1 efficiently delivered doxorubicin (DOX), CpG, and siPD-L1 into tumor cells.

Clinical Relevance: Pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PXS) is a common age-related disorder associated with glaucoma and cataract. Despite its clinical importance, the pathogenesis of PXS is not yet fully understood.
Background: To evaluate levels of SCUBE-1 (signal peptide, CUB domain, and epidermal growth factor-like domain containing protein 1) in the serum and aqueous humour of patients with PXS in comparison with non-PXS controls.

Physical properties were studied in commercial plantation of balsa established in Costa Rica. Among other variables studied, physical properties varied mainly for tree age, spacing, stand density, diameter, and height of trees, which we named dasometric conditions. The aim of this study was (i) to determine the variation of specific gravity (SG), air-dry density (AD), green density (GD), and green moisture content (GMC), (ii) to know the site effect and dasometric conditions on these properties, and (iii) to establish the relationship between the four physical properties.

The expression of CD38 by cancer cells may mediate an immune-suppressive effect by producing Extracellular Adenosine (ADO) acting through G-protein-coupled cell surface receptors on cellular components and tumor cells. This can increase PD-1 expression and interaction with PD-L1, suppressing CD8 + cytotoxic T cells. This study examines the impact of heightened CD38 expression and extracellular ADO on various hematological and clinical parameters in patients with mature B-cell lymphoma, alongside their correlation with the soluble counterparts of the PD-1/PD-L1 axis.
