BACKGROUND As the population ages, comorbidities among elderly patients are becoming a significant problem, due to associated risks and mortality. Medication adherence is crucial for controlling chronic diseases and improving patient outcomes; therefore, it is important to understand medication adherence among hospitalized patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted from June 2023 to April 2024 in 2 tertiary hospitals in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, China.

Introduction: Frailty is an inevitable part of ageing, which is also associated with a variety of chronic diseases, the most common of which are cardiovascular diseases. The WHO non-laboratory-based CVD risk scores are reliable predictors of cardiovascular events and are used in treatment decision-making in primary health-care settings. The current study aims to find the association between the non-laboratory-based CVD risk scores and frailty scores.

However, delayed antenatal care initiation remains a public health challenge in sub-Saharan Africa, including Kenya. Therefore, this study aimed to assess and provide up-to-date information on time to first antenatal care visit and its predictors among women in Kenya, using data from the most recent 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS).

Background: Low cardiorespiratory fitness predicts worse postoperative outcomes, exacerbated by age and frailty. Preoperative High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) improves cardiorespiratory fitness and postoperative outcomes but is challenging to implement in frailty due to perceived risks.
Purpose: The aim of this case report was to demonstrate feasibility of HIIT in a patient with frailty and multimorbidity.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality of life (QoL) of older Chinese patients with breast cancer and to explore further the associations of functions, symptoms, financial burdens and comorbidities with global health/quality of life (gQoL).
Design: This was a cross-sectional study carried out following the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology checklist.
Setting: This study was conducted in two hospitals in Beijing from October 2021 to November 2022.
