Background: Cancers of the bladder, kidney, and prostate are the 3 major genitourinary cancers that significantly contribute to the global burden of disease (GBD) and continue to show increasing rates of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In mainland China, understanding the cancer burden on patients and their families is crucial; however, public awareness and concerns about these cancers, particularly from the patient's perspective, remain predominantly focused on financial costs. A more comprehensive exploration of their needs and concerns has yet to be fully addressed.

Background And Objectives: Primary care physician (PCP) shortages and uneven geographic distribution are well-documented. Black populations have less access to primary care and worse health outcomes, with a lack of provider-patient racial concordance playing a role. Addressing these disparities requires targeted approaches that produce more Black PCPs in high-need areas, including expanding community-based residency programs (CBRPs), which are more likely to produce physicians in high-need areas.

Background: Although numerous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of interventions delivered by disease intervention specialists (DIS), relatively few studies have assessed their economic outcomes. We performed a systematic literature review of the cost, cost-effectiveness, and cost-benefit of DIS-delivered interventions for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the United States.
Methods: Building on a recent systematic review of the effectiveness of DIS-delivered interventions, we reviewed economic outcomes associated with these interventions for STIs.

Background: Individual kidney tubule biomarkers are associated with risks for chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression and mortality in persons with diabetes. Integrating multiple kidney biomarkers using a latent variable method of exploratory factor analysis could define distinct dimensions of kidney health, and their associations with adverse outcomes.
Methods: We conducted a factor analysis of 17 candidate urine and plasma biomarkers in 1,256 participants with diabetes and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) <60ml/min/1.

Background: Pregnant women and their unborn children are often overlooked in the opioid crisis, despite increased rates of both maternal complications and neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome. Although medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) are considered the gold standard for pregnant women, many either do not have access to or are not offered MOUD as an option.
Objectives: To describe the characteristics of MOUD care models and assess the effectiveness of MOUD Care Models on initiation, adherence, and engagement in treatment for pregnant women with OUD.
