Objective: Digital therapy is important in treating motor system disease. The outcome of digital therapy in post-operative rehabilitation of knee anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is assessed.

Methods: 142 patients are treated with digital rehabilitation therapy after ACL reconstruction. Patients' pain score, joint motion, lower limb function score, anxiety score are statistically analyzed. Patients' satisfaction, device usage and adverse events are documented.

Results: At post-operative 1st day, 8th weeks, 12th weeks, pain score are 4, 2, 1, knee joint range of motion are 55°, 110°, 143°, lower limb function score are 18, 56, 76, anxiety score are 32.5, 26, 23.5 respectively. Patients' satisfaction are 9.4. Mean duration of device usage is (177.6±38.0) minutes per week. Rehabilitation-related and device-related adverse event does not happen.

Conclusions: Digital therapy promotes post-operative rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction.

Background: Low rates of adolescent and young adult (YA; aged 15-39 y) clinical trial enrollment (CTE), particularly among underserved groups, have resulted in a lack of standardized cancer treatments and follow-up guidelines for this group that may limit improvement in cancer treatments and survival outcomes for YAs.

Objective: To understand and address unique barriers to CTE, we conducted focus groups to learn about informational, financial, and psychosocial needs of YAs surrounding CTE and identify strategies to address these barriers.

Methods: We conducted 5 focus groups in 2023 among a diverse sample of YA patients from across the United States.

Atrial fibrillation (AF), impacting nearly 50 million individuals globally, is a major contributor to ischaemic strokes, predominantly originating from the left atrial appendage (LAA). Current clinical scores like CHA₂DS₂-VASc, while useful, provide limited insight into the pro-thrombotic mechanisms of Virchow's triad-blood stasis, endothelial damage, and hypercoagulability. This study leverages biophysical computational modelling to deepen our understanding of thrombogenesis in AF patients.

Responsible Design, Integration, and Use of Generative AI in Mental Health.

JMIR Ment Health

January 2025

The Samueli Initiative for Responsible AI in Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel.

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) shows potential for personalized care, psychoeducation, and even crisis prediction in mental health, yet responsible use requires ethical consideration and deliberation and perhaps even governance. This is the first published theme issue focused on responsible GenAI in mental health. It brings together evidence and insights on GenAI's capabilities, such as emotion recognition, therapy-session summarization, and risk assessment, while highlighting the sensitive nature of mental health data and the need for rigorous validation.
