Background: Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocellular adenocarcinoma (CCA) are the most common primary liver tumors representing a major global health burden. In early disease stages, tumor resection may provide long-term survival in selected patients. However, morbidity and mortality rates are still relatively high after extended liver surgery with perioperative bacterial infections representing major complications.

Objective: To examine the experience of surgical nurses in their work with the WHO surgical checklist in Sweden.
Methods: Data were collected from one hundred and ninety-six healthcare professionals, including thirty-nine surgical nurses, using a self-administered questionnaire.

Cognitive impairment following surgery is a significant complication, affecting multiple neurocognitive domains. The term "perioperative neurocognitive disorders" (PND) is recommended to encompass this entity. Individuals who develop PND are typically older and have increases in serum and brain pro-inflammatory cytokines notwithstanding the type of surgery undergone.

Background: This study aimed to assess the efficacy of a novel spinal osteotomy technique, the posterior trans-intervertebral osteotomy with anterior support, in individuals diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. This study utilized computer software to simulate the osteotomy procedure, predict orthopedic outcomes, and assist in preoperative planning.
Methods: Four patients with ankylosing spondylitis underwent posterior trans-intervertebral osteotomy with anterior support that post-operative follow-up of more than 1 year.
