Introduction: Adjunctive therapies to treat OFF episodes resulting from long-term levodopa treatment in Parkinson disease (PD) are hampered by safety and tolerability issues. Istradefylline offers an alternative mechanism (adenosine A2A receptor antagonist) and therefore potentially improved tolerability.
Methods: A systematic review of PD adjuncts published in 2011 was updated to include randomized controlled trials published from January 1, 2010-April 15, 2019.

Introduction: The internet of things (IoT) is increasingly used for occupational safety and health (OSH) purposes in private and public organisations. Current practices and regulations are unclear, and some stakeholders raised concerns about deploying this technology at work.
Methods: Following the PRISMA-ScR checklist, we reviewed the main opportunities and ethical issues raised by using IoT devices for OSH purposes, as discussed in the academic literature.
Introduction: Biologic therapies treat patients with moderate to severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This study aims to investigate the demographics of biologic therapy use and its association with patient characteristics, a topic that has not yet been thoroughly assessed in our region.
Methods: Electronic health record data from June 1, 2021, to May 31, 2023, were collected at a tertiary care IBD center in Kuwait.
