Objective: To investigate whether appointment adherence and frequency of home exercises mediates the association of baseline i) pain self-efficacy (PSE) or ii) patient expectation of recovery, with outcome at 6 months.
Design: Multicentre longitudinal cohort study.
Methods: Six-month outcome data (SPADI, QuickDASH) were provided by 810 of 1030 recruited participants.

The burden of foodborne disease due to the consumption of animal-sourced foods is substantial in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Open air markets, while providing fresh and affordable foods, often have unhygienic practices that may contribute to contamination during the slaughter and processing of chicken meat. This study examines whether and how the common practice of rinse water (stored water used for rinsing broiler carcasses during processing) reuse leads to accumulation of pathogens, with potential cross contamination of chicken meat.

Handwashing is an essential prevention step in foodservice, This randomized comparative study assessed the effectiveness of three training methods -virtual reality (VR), Glo-Germ (GT), and traditional face-to-face training (CT)- in improving handwashing practices among foodservice workers ( = 129). Training focused on the World Health Organization's 11-step handwashing process. Handwashing in the workplace was observed, in a pre- and post-test design, with microbiological swabs also taken.

We investigated spatiotemporal kinematics during top speed sprinting and biomechanical running strategies in 98 male intercollegiate athletes from a range of athletic backgrounds in track and field (TF, = 28) and team sports (TS, = 70). Participants completed 40 m running trials with sagittal plane motion analyses of high-speed video captured from 30 m to 40 m. Across the entire sample, measures of contact time, step rate, step length, flight length and duty factor (ratio of contact duration to stride duration) were meaningfully correlated with top speed ( < 0.
