The article discusses issues reflecting the importance of intergenerational sports as an institution influencing the formation of social values, civic identity, health-saving attitudes, etc. The paper defines the main and specific functions of sport as a social institution. Based on the author's sociological research, the results are presented reflecting the attitude of participants of intergenerational sports groups to certain types of social impact that sports activities and events held in mixed age groups have.

Non-pharmaceutical interventions are needed to target the growing intergenerational cycle of obesity. We aimed to determine whether in utero exposure to different exercise doses during pregnancy directly reduces infant cellular and whole-body adiposity. Pregnant women completed ~24 weeks of supervised exercise training; for standardization of exercise analysis (frequency, intensity, time, and volume-FIT-V), metrics were assessed from 16 to 36 weeks.

Unlabelled: Local parks offer outdoor spaces for active play; they provide a common attractive space in which grandparents and grandchildren can interact and engage in physical activity. This study investigated how multigenerational active spaces within local parks were being used by older people, their grandchildren, and other age groups.
Method: This study was an observational design using direct observations of park visitors over three consecutive months and an intercept survey of a subsample of older visitors in six community parks in Victoria, Australia.
