What kind of emotional experience does the application of digital technology in museums create for museum visitors? Can it be measured accurately and in real-time? What are its characteristics? This paper utilizes EEG signals and the PAD emotional model as research methods to conduct real-time digital measurement of visitors' emotional experiences at Tianyi Pavilion Museum in Ningbo City, focusing on their physiological and psychological reactions. The results show that: (1) In a quasi-experimental environment, linear SVM, polynomial kernel SVM, and Gaussian kernel SVM can all accurately classify the emotional tendencies of museum visitors with success rate of over 72%. (2) In a quasi-experimental environment, it is feasible and reliable to measure the immediate digital emotional experiences of visitors using EEG signals and the PAD emotion model. Based on this, we can summarize the characteristics of emotional tendencies among different demographic groups of museum visitors.

Transitioning to a power system heavily reliant on renewable wind energy involves more than just replacing conventional fossil-fuel-based power plant with wind farms, the wind energy must be able to meet the requirement of voltage establishment and power balance. It is believed that the self synchronized voltage source control of DFIG wind turbine generator is one of the possible solutions to realize virtual inertia and is helpful to increase the frequency stability of power system, thus is meaningful in the transformation of the power system dominated by renewable energy. Plenty of research has been conducted on the self synchronized voltage source control strategy in steady state, but few research is focused on the soft grid integration, which is a complicated process involving wind turbine control and power converter control.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the predictive value of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte count to monocyte count ratio (LMR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), platelet count multiplied by neutrophil count to lymphocyte count ratio (SII), red blood cell distribution width (RDW), packed cell volume (PCV), and plateletcrit (PCT) levels in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors.

Materials And Methods: From March 2019 to August 2023, we screened 104 of 153 patients with stage III unresectable local advanced NSCLC and IV NSCLC who received PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor therapy at our hospital and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria for analysis. All patients were collected for clinical information, including baseline blood indicator (NLR, PLR, LMR, SII, CRP, RDW, PCV and PCT) levels before PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor therapy and blood indicator levels and imaging evaluation results every two cycles after PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor therapy.

Background: To ensure the complete traceability of healthcare commodities, robust end-to-end data management protocols are needed for the supply chain. In Ethiopia, digital tools like Dagu-2 are used in the lower levels of the healthcare supply chain. However, there is a lack of information regarding the implementation status, factors, and challenges of Dagu-2, as it is a recent upgrade from the offline Dagu-1 application.

Impact of thrombus composition on virtual thrombectomy procedures using human clot analogues mechanical data.

J Mech Behav Biomed Mater

Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering 'Giulio Natta', Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

Endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) aims at restoring blood flow in case of acute ischemic stroke by removing the thrombus occluding a large cerebral artery. During the procedure with stent-retriever, the thrombus is captured within the device, which is then retrieved, subjecting the thrombus to several forces, potentially leading to its fragmentation. In silico studies, along with mechanical characterisation of thrombi, can enhance our understanding of the EVT, helping the development of new devices and interventional strategies.

Analyzing the TotalSegmentator for facial feature removal in head CT scans.

Radiography (Lond)

January 2025

Department of Radiology, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Berlin, Germany; Berlin Institute of Health, Berlin, Germany.

Background: Facial recognition technology in medical imaging, particularly with head scans, poses privacy risks due to identifiable facial features. This study evaluates the use of facial recognition software in identifying facial features from head CT scans and explores a defacing pipeline using TotalSegmentator to reduce re-identification risks while preserving data integrity for research.

Methods: 1404 high-quality renderings from the UCLH EIT Stroke dataset, both with and without defacing were analysed.
