Tri-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl (TTM) based radicals can be promising in providing relatively high fluorescence quantum efficiency. In this study, we have evaluated the photoluminescence properties of a series of TTM-based radicals by means of DFT and TD-DFT methods. The optimized structures of the ground states (D) and the first excited states (D) of all the radicals are calculated and the computed emission bands are comparable with previous experimental results. is determined from transition dipole moments () and the energy gaps between D and D (Δ), both of which can be regulated by the conjugated structures from the substituent groups. was derived from the mode-averaging method and is consistent with the experimental results. Factors influencing and , including the potential energy differences (Δ), the vibrational reorganization energies () and the electron coupling term (), are discussed. By comparing and in solvents with different polarities (cyclohexane, toluene, and chloroform), TTM based radicals in cyclohexane exhibit the most promising fluorescence efficiencies. Besides, two substituted radicals, namely 2Br-TTM-3PCz and 2F-TTM-3PCz, have been fabricated. The results show that fluorine atoms are able to increase Δ and a considerably small has been predicted. We expect that our calculation can benefit the design of light-emitting molecules in further experiments.

This study used optical attenuation coefficient (OAC)-based optical coherence tomography (OCT) en face images to assess the ellipsoid zone (EZ) in the foveal region. This retrospective, observational, cross-sectional study of 41 healthy volunteers and 34 patients with retinal diseases included imaging data acquired using a prototype swept-source OCT system. EZ en face images were generated from OCT raster scan volumes based on OAC, followed by denoising and binarization to quantify the percentage of EZ structural normality or abnormality relative to the total imaging area.

Background: Smoking is a detrimental health behavior that can be addressed by designing stage-matched interventions with evidence-based behavioral change models such as the transtheoretical model (TTM). This study applied the TTM to predict smoking cessation stages among adults in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: This social media-based cross-sectional study in Saudi Arabia used a convenient sample of 491 adult smokers (men and women).

The emerging field of molecular cavity polaritons has stimulated a surge of experimental and theoretical activities and presents a unique opportunity to develop the many-body simulation methodology. This paper presents a numerical scheme for the extraction of key kinetic information of lossy cavity polaritons based on the transfer tensor method (TTM). Steady state, relaxation timescales, and oscillatory phenomena can all be deduced directly from a set of transfer tensors without the need for long-time simulation.

Heavy-legged robots (HLRs), integral to optimizing efficiency in manufacturing and transportation, rely on advanced active servo fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control (FTC) mechanisms. This study presents an FTC framework with active fault status identification, fault tolerance capability assessment, and model uncertainty handling. A key contribution is the introduction of an active servo fault state estimator (ASFSE), which enables real-time monitoring of servo status by comparing residual differences between servo and controller outputs.
