Although rare, primary sternal chondrosarcoma (PSC) is the most common primary malignant chest wall tumor. Here, we report a rare case of PSC treated with partial sternal resection and reconstruction. A 47-year-old man presented with subcutaneous anterior chest wall mass and chest pain.

Background: Kinesio taping® (KT) could facilitate respiratory muscle contraction, improving breathing. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the immediate effects of KT application on thoracoabdominal mobility, vital capacity, and respiratory muscle strength of healthy young individuals.
Methods: This clinical trial included 19 healthy individuals, measuring their maximum inspiratory and expiratory pressure, vital capacity, and thoracoabdominal mobility using cirtometry.

This case involved an 89-year-old woman with a history of left nephrectomy for left renal cell carcinoma at the age of 87 years. She had been gradually accumulating pericardial effusion for the past 4 years. She presented with signs of tachycardia and hypotension suggestive of cardiac tamponade due to pericardial effusion, and pericardiocentesis was performed below the xiphoid process in the cardiology department.

Adhesive-augmented sternal fixation (AASF) has been investigated as an alternative to the clinical standard of cerclage wires; however, previous studies have focused on a full adhesive layer across the sternal midline, which acts as a barrier to bone healing. This study used a human cadaveric model to investigate if partial coverage AASF used in combination with wired fixation could provide adequate stability.
