Although Cr as activator for Near infrared (NIR) phosphors has been widely studied, the peaks of Cr emission spectra in most hosts are less than 1000 nm. Nd as an activator in many hosts has a wide distribution of absorption peaks in the Ultraviolet-visible-Near infrared (UV-vis-NIR) band, especially in the 650-900 nm band for effective NIR to NIR Stokes luminescence (F→I, F→I transitions). Therefore, Cr, Nd co-doping to achieve the emission in the NIR II region (1000-1700nm) is very meaningful. Here, we report LaCaZrO(LCZO): Cr, Nd NIR phosphors with emission spectra covering an ultra-wide range of 700-1400 nm and reveal their luminescence mechanism. The energy transfer efficiency of Cr for Nd can be as high as 88.4% under 471 nm blue light excitation. In the same case, the integrated intensity of the emission spectra of Cr, Nd co-doped can reach 847% of that of Nd alone and 204% of that of Cr alone. Finally, the combination of commercial blue light chips and Cr, Nd co-doped NIR phosphors shows great potential for applications in face recognition, night lighting, and angiography.

Lead halide perovskites have garnered interest in light-emitting diode (LED) applications due to their strong emission and tunable properties. However, conventional synthesis methods involve energy-intensive thermal processes and hazardous organic solvents, raising environmental concerns. In this study, we report a simple and eco-friendly mechanochemical approach that produces phase-pure blue-emitting CsCuI (emission at 440 nm) and yellow-emitting CsCuI (emission at 570 nm) phosphors through polarity modulation and control of grinding duration.

Room temperature (RT) synthesized mixed bromine and chlorine CsPbBrCl perovskite quantum dots (Pe-QDs) offer notable advantages for blue quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs), such as cost-effective processing and narrow luminescence peaks. However, the efficiency of blue QLEDs using these RT-synthesized QDs has been limited by inferior crystallinity and deep defect presence. In this study, we demonstrate a precise approach to constructing high-quality gradient core-shell (CS) structures of CsPbBrCl QD through anion exchange.

The design and preparation of advanced hybrid nanofibers with controllable microstructures will be interesting because of their potential high-efficiency applications in the environmental and energy domains. In this paper, a simple and efficient strategy was developed for preparing hybrid nanofibers of zinc oxide-molybdenum disulfide (ZnO-MoS) grown on polyimide (PI) nanofibers by combining electrospinning, a high-pressure hydrothermal process, and in situ growth. Unlike simple composite nanoparticles, the structure is shown in PI-ZnO to be like the skeleton of a tree for the growth of MoS "leaves" as macro-materials with controlled microstructures.

MXenes, have been considered as a new generation anode material in lithium-ion batteries for lower lithium-ion diffusion barriers and superior conductivity. Unfortunately, their structures are prone to aggregation and stacking, hindering further shuttle of lithium ions and electrons, resulting in lower discharge capacity. Therefore, the introduction of interlayer spacers for the preparation of MXene-based hybrids has attracted much attention.

Physiological wound healing process can restore the functional and structural integrity of skin, but is often delayed due to external disturbance. The development of methods for promoting the repair process of skin wounds represents a highly desired and challenging goal. Here, a flexible, self-powered, and multifunctional triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) wound patch (e-patch) is presented for accelerating wound healing through the synergy of electrostimulation and photothermal effect.
