Osteoarthritis of the scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal joint is frequent but often pain-free or well tolerated with non-surgical treatment. Surgical options are numerous and none seems to have clear evidence of superiority. In addition to well-established procedures, such as scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal joint arthrodesis, distal scaphoid resection and trapeziectomy, more recent surgical techniques have been reported.

To measure the life quality, clinical-functional outcomes of a patient who had undergone acute reconstruction of radio scapho capitate (RSC), radio lunate (RLL) ligaments, using brachiorradialis tendon in treatment of radiocarpal fracture dislocation. 21-years-old, man with radiocarpal fracture dislocation in his left wrist, after motorcycle accident. Percutaneous screw fixation of the distal radius and acute reconstruction of the RSC and RLL was performed, assisted by arthroscopy.

Background: Four-corner arthrodesis is commonly performed for advanced collapse patterns of wrist arthritis. Reduction of the capitolunate (CL) angle during four-corner fusion is crucial to allow for the greatest radiocarpal joint arc of motion. Previous studies demonstrate variable inter- and intraobserver reliability of measuring the CL angle.

Case: A 32-year-old woman with bilateral Madelung deformity presented with severe pain and arthritis of the radiocarpal and distal radioulnar joints. At final follow-up, 17 months for the left and 12 months for the right wrist, she had excellent functional results with no pain. Range of motion was 30° of flexion and 30° of extension with full pronosupination.
