We outline two general theoretical techniques to simulate polariton quantum dynamics and optical spectra under the collective coupling regimes described by a Holstein-Tavis-Cummings (HTC) model Hamiltonian. The first one takes advantage of sparsity of the HTC Hamiltonian, which allows one to reduce the cost of acting polariton Hamiltonian onto a state vector to the linear order of the number of states, instead of the quadratic order. The second one is applying the well-known Chebyshev series expansion approach for quantum dynamics propagation and to simulate the polariton dynamics in the HTC system; this approach allows us to use a much larger time step for propagation and only requires a few recursive operations of the polariton Hamiltonian acting on state vectors.

As the demand for computational performance in artificial intelligence (AI) continues to increase, diffractive deep neural networks (DNNs), which can perform AI computing at the speed of light by repeated optical modulation with diffractive optical elements (DOEs), are attracting attention. DOEs are varied in terms of fabrication methods and materials, and among them, volume holographic optical elements (vHOEs) have unique features such as high selectivity and multiplex recordability for wavelength and angle. However, when those are used for DNNs, they suffer from unknown wavefront aberrations compounded by multiple fabrication errors.

Multispectral imaging (MSI) enables the acquisition of spatial and spectral image-based information in one process. Spectral scene information can be used to determine the characteristics of materials based on reflection or absorption and thus their material compositions. This work focuses on so-called multi aperture imaging, which enables a simultaneous capture (snapshot) of spectrally selective and spatially resolved scene information.

Electrospun poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL)-based scaffolds are widely used in tissue engineering. However, low cell adhesion remains the key drawback of PCL scaffolds. It is well known that nitrogen-doped diamond-like carbon (N-DLC) coatings deposited on the surface of various implants are able to enhance their biocompatibility and functional properties.

Active waveguide Bragg gratings (AWBGs) are promising photonic structures that combine the very efficient reflective properties of a Bragg grating with the power amplification character of rare earths. This combination may lead to a potential monolithic laser under the proper conditions. However, the photonic response of these structures highly depends on the grating design and operating parameters, so modeling its response for their laser performance is a must.
