Background: Delays in obstetric care are associated with adverse maternal outcomes, while long-distance travel for delivery is associated with high neonatal mortality and increased maternal morbidity. Distance and travel time are key components of geographic accessibility to health services and important risk indicators for maternal and neonatal care. This study evaluated whether the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) has been geographically accessible in providing hospital childbirth services, over time.

We examined global records of accessible natural history voucher collections (with publicly available data and reliable locality data) for terrestrial and freshwater vascular plants, fungi, freshwater fishes, birds, mammals, and herpetofauna (amphibians and reptiles) and highlight areas of the world that would be considered undersampled and sometimes called 'unexplored' (., have relatively low, or no evidence of, past sampling efforts) under typical Western-scientific descriptions. The composition and pattern of ecosystems play a crucial role in determining the overall condition and spatial variations of ecosystem services. In this study, we explored the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), six land use/land cover change (LULC) types, and their landscape patterns to reflect spatial-temporal dynamics from 2010 to 2020 in the upper and middle reaches of the Fenhe River Basin. The trend analysis of Mann-Kendall tests was used to assess the NDVI variation of each pixel over the past decade.
