In the title coordination polymer, [Cu(CHO)(CHN)], the Cu atoms in {NO} square-pyramidal coordination environments are conjoined into diperiodic coordination polymer slabs by the full span of the bridging 1,4-bis-(pyridin-4-ylmeth-yl)piperazine (bpmp) and 4-(carboxyl-eth-yl)benzoate (ceb) ligands. The slab motifs are expanded into the full crystal structure by means of longer-range C-H⋯O attractive inter-actions.

Well-defined amorphous/semi-crystalline statistical copolymers of n-dodecyl isocyanate, DDIC, and allyl isocyanate, ALIC, were synthesized via coordination polymerization using the chiral half-titanocene complex CpTiCl(O-(S)-2-Bu) as an initiator. In the frame of the terminal model, the monomer reactivity ratios of the statistical copolymers were calculated using both well-known linear graphical methods and the computer program COPOINT. The molecular and structural characteristics of the copolymers were also calculated.

In this study, polysulfone/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PSf/PVP, 20 wt%/5 wt%)-based ultrafiltration (UF) membranes reinforced with different ratios (0.5 and 1 wt%) of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and cellulose nanofibres (CNFs) were prepared by the phase inversion method. The effect of CNC, CNF, and CNC-CNF reinforcement on the morphology, roughness, crystallinity, porosity, average pore size, mechanical properties, and filtration performance of PSf/PVP-based membrane was investigated.

Photo-thermo-electric conversion devices represent a promising technology for converting solar energy into electrical energy. Photothermal materials, as a critical component, play a significant role in efficient conversion from solar energy into thermal energy and subsequently electrical energy, thereby directly influencing the overall system's efficiency in solar energy utilization. However, the application of single-component photothermal materials in photo-thermo-electric conversion systems remains limited.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are hybrid inorganic-organic 3D coordination polymers with metal sites and organic linkers, which are a "hot" topic in the research of sorption, separations, catalysis, sensing, and environmental remediation. In this study, we explore the molecular mechanism and kinetics of interaction of the new copper porphyrin aluminum metal-organic framework (actAl-MOF-TCPPCu) compound with a vapor of the volatile organic sulfur compound (VOSC) diethyl sulfide (DES). First, compound was synthesized by post-synthetic modification (PSM) of Al-MOF-TCPPH compound by inserting Cu ions into the porphyrin ring and characterized by complementary qualitative and quantitative chemical, structural, and spectroscopic analysis.

Cortactin (CTTN) is an actin-binding protein regulating actin polymerization and stabilization, which are vital processes for maintaining skeletal muscle homeostasis. Despite the established function of CTTN in actin cytoskeletal dynamics, its role in the myogenic differentiation of progenitor cells remains largely unexplored. In this study, we investigated the role of CTTN in the myogenic differentiation of C2C12 myoblasts by analyzing its effects on actin cytoskeletal remodeling, myocardin-related transcription factor A (MRTFA) nuclear translocation, serum response factor (SRF) activation, expression of myogenic transcription factors, and myotube formation.
