Background: Following the US Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, there is evidence of limitations in access to safe abortion care. Artificially intelligent (AI)-enabled conversational chatbots are becoming an appealing option to support access to care, but generative AI systems can misinform and hallucinate and risk reinforcing problematic bias and stigma related to sexual and reproductive healthcare.

Introduction: Combination of Standardized Patient (SP) and Case Based Learning (CBL) is a common method in medical education, but traditional SP (TSP) may not be conducive to students' mastery of basic medical knowledge and the cultivation of clinical thinking. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate SP to optimize SP combined with CBL teaching method.
Objective: This study aims to explore the effectiveness of a chatbot utilizing standardized patients based on CBL (CSP-CBL) for colorectal cancer education.

Background It is recognised that large language models (LLMs) may aid medical education by supporting the understanding of explanations behind answers to multiple choice questions. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of LLM chatbots ChatGPT and Bard in answering an Intermediate Life Support pre-course multiple choice question (MCQs) test developed by the Resuscitation Council UK focused on managing deteriorating patients and identifying causes and treating cardiac arrest. We assessed the accuracy of responses and quality of explanations to evaluate the utility of the chatbots.

Assistive tools such as large language models (LLMs) can be helpful for busy authors and those who struggle with the English language. Personal linguistic style in a manuscript creates a sense of true authorship.
