Nursing specialty certification is an organizational, nursing, and professional goal for many stakeholders. Several types of review courses are available to support nurses. A peer-led certification review course was designed and implemented for medical/surgical and telemetry nurses. The peer-led instruction was the crux of empowering nurses to achieve certification. Assessment of the intervention was measured by quantitative data on pass rates. Evaluative information was gathered from the participants. Certification rates increased for applicable units.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigates the impact of nurse-led and peer-led education on the quality of life and resilience in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) at the MS Society in Hamedan, Iran, involving 120 randomly selected participants in three groups: nurse education, peer education, and a control group.
  • - After a series of educational sessions, both the nurse and peer education groups showed significant improvements in quality of life and resilience compared to the control group, with no significant differences between the two educational approaches.
  • - The findings suggest that both methods are equally effective, highlighting the potential of peer support in enhancing patient outcomes, especially in settings with limited nursing resources.

PLS shifts learners into leadership roles, fostering scenario design and facilitation among peers. Despite existing literature on ILS versus PLS, there remains a gap in the effectiveness of combined PLS and ILS for post-registration nursing students.
