Varicella, caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), is rarely reported in the elderly but often complicates with pneumonia. In this case report, we present a case of varicella pneumonia in the elderly. A 60-year-old man presented to the emergency room with vesicles filled with clear fluid that had appeared all over the body for the past four days.

Borrelia miyamotoi disease (BMD), also known as hard-tick relapsing fever, is an emerging tick-borne illness caused by the bacterium Borrelia miyamotoi. This pathogen is transmitted primarily by Ixodes ticks, also known as deer ticks or black-legged ticks. BMD poses significant public health concerns because of its potential to cause severe hemodynamic and hematologic disturbances, particularly in vulnerable populations such as pregnant individuals.

This case highlights an unusually rapid onset and extensive presentation of eruptive cutaneous sarcoidosis in a 61-year-old woman who developed a sudden, widespread pruritic rash overnight after ingesting a supplement containing black seed oil and vitamins D3, K2, and E. She responded well to corticosteroid treatment. We compared the findings with two other cases found in the literature.
