-glycosylation plays a crucial role in defining the pharmacological properties and efficacy of therapeutic proteins, commonly referred to as biologics. The inherent complexity and lack of a templated process in glycosylation leads to a wide variation in glycan structures, posing significant challenges in achieving consistent glycan profiles on biologics. This study leverages omics technologies to predict which cell lines are likely to yield optimal glycosylation profiles, based on the existing knowledge of the functional impact of specific glycan structures on the pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and stability of therapeutic antibodies.

Objective: To characterize the public conversations around long COVID, as expressed through X (formerly Twitter) posts from May 2020 to April 2023.
Methods: Using X as the data source, we extracted tweets containing #long-covid, #long_covid, or "long covid," posted from May 2020 to April 2023. We then conducted an unsupervised deep learning analysis using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT).

Background: The pleural cavity represents a unique immunological compartment that can mount inflammatory reactions during infections, after surgery and in chronic immunological diseases. The connection between systemic immune reactions in the blood and local immune reactions in pleural effusions remains unclear. This study provides the first comprehensive immunological characterization of paired blood and pleural effusion samples, utilizing combined cell and cytokine analyses in pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
