We introduce the experimental and theoretical investigation of the mutual influence of two four-wave mixing (FWM) processes during the propagation of high-power nanosecond pulses at 1030 nm and 1562 nm wavelengths in the few-mode optical fiber. Both fundamental mode FWM (FM FWM) of laser pulses at these wavelengths, and intermodal FWM (IM FWM) of 1030 nm pulses, have common anti-Stokes components at 1003 nm wavelength. This leads to the mutual influence of FWM effects. As a result, the decrease of optical power of the fundamental mode is observed at both 1030 nm and 1562 nm wavelengths. The method for the suppression of such an adverse effect is proposed. It is based on the attenuation of the 1030 nm higher LP mode at the few-mode optical fiber input.

Motivation: It is a challenging task to decipher the mechanisms of a complex system from observational data; especially in biology, where systems are sophisticated, measurements coarse and multi-modality is a common trait. The typical approaches of inferring a network of relationships between system's components struggle with the quality and feasibility of estimation, as well as with the interpretability of the results they yield.Said issues can be avoided, however, when dealing with a simpler problem of tracking only the influence paths, defined as circuits relying the information of an experimental perturbation as it spreads through the system.

Copper matrix composites (CMCs) synergistically reinforced with rare earth oxides (ReO) and TiC were prepared using a powder metallurgy process with vacuum hot-pressing and sintering technology, aiming to explore new ways to optimize the properties of composites. Through this innovative approach, we propose a new solution strategy and idea for the difficult problem of mutual constraints between electrical and mechanical properties faced by traditional dual-phase reinforced Cu-matrix composites. Meanwhile, the modulation mechanism of ReO in CMCs and the electrical and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated.

Background: Village health workers (VHWs), popularly known as community health workers (CHWs) in some contexts and settings, should effectively complement health care providers in primary health care (PHC) delivery in Zimbabwe. However, they continue to offer services that do not address current and emerging health issues.
Aim: This study aims to review the literature and develop a conceptual framework to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of VHWs in service delivery.

Background: The process of aging in Chinese society is accompanied by the concurrent development of the Internet. In recent years, the influence of Internet use on the activities of older adults has attracted growing interest and is now a significant focus of both public health and gerontological research. Nevertheless, there is a need for further empirical research in this area.
