Background: Leprosy (Hansen's disease) is an infectious disease most common in resource-limited countries caused by the acid-fast bacilli Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium lepromatosis that frequently affects the skin and peripheral nerves. Prompt diagnosis and treatment with multidrug therapy is crucial to reduce disease transmission and sequelae, which include nerve function impairment, ocular injury, and stigmatizing physical deformities. Traditional treatment of multibacillary leprosy consists of 12-24 months of multidrug therapy with dapsone, rifampin, and clofazimine.

Pre-existing of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) poses increased lung cancer risk, yet the molecular mechanisms remain inadequately understood. This study sought to elucidate the potential mechanisms by performing comprehensive analyses of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with PTB, lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC). Microarray assays were employed to analyze the DEGs in PBMCs of these patients.

Introduction: Neurofibromas are rare benign tumors of peripheral nerve sheaths, and hand involvement is particularly uncommon. This case report presents a large neurofibroma located in the thenar region, a critical area for thumb opposition and hand dexterity, posing unique surgical challenges.
Presentation Of Case: A 23-year-old female presented with a 3-year history of a progressively enlarging mass in the thenar region of the right hand, accompanied by nocturnal pain but no neurological deficits.

Brentuximab vedotin (BV)-bendamustine (90 or 120 mg/m2 day 1 and 2) every 28 days is an effective treatment for relapsed/refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R HL) but associated to high toxicity especially for elderly patients. We conducted in St Louis Hospital, Paris, between 2015 and 2021 a retrospective single-center analysis of 44 patients with R/R HL treated with one-day BV-bendamustine (120 mg/m2) every 21 days.
