A general theory is presented for the transient dynamic electrophoresis of a spherical colloidal particle in an electrolyte solution under a suddenly applied oscillating electric field. An approximate analytic expression is derived for the transient dynamic electrophoretic mobility, which is applicable for low particle zeta potentials and arbitrary Debye length. It is found that the electrophoretic mobility shows a damped oscillation, approaching its final value, unlike the case where a step electric field is applied.

Quasi-two-dimensional nanosheets exhibit novel properties and promising applications in optoelectronic flexible devices. Research on non-layered III-V semiconductor nanosheets has been constrained by their covalent bonding connections. In this study, GaAs/AlGaAs heterojunction nanosheets were prepared by releasing an epitaxial layer, and their optical properties were investigated by adopting steady-state and transient absorption spectroscopy.

Methods: Data from the 2017 China Migrants Dynamic Survey were analyzed, focusing on 13,998 rural migrants. Negative binomial regression was used to explore assimilation patterns and determine the factors affecting HEU among internal migrants in China.

Understanding the role and mode of action of nutrient transporters requires information about their dynamic associations with plant membranes. Historically, apoplastic nutrient export has been associated with proteins localized at the plasma membrane (PM), while the role of endomembrane localization has been less explored. However, recent work on the PHOSPHATE 1 (PHO1) inorganic phosphate (Pi) exporter demonstrated that, although primarily localized at the Golgi and trans-Golgi network (TGN) vesicles, PHO1 does associate with the PM when clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME) was inhibited, supporting a mechanism for Pi homeostasis involving exocytosis.

Background: The antiarrhythmic effect of melatonin(MLT) has been demonstrated in several studies; however, this hypothesis has recently been contested. Our research seeks to determine if exogenous MLT supplementation can reduce atrial fibrillation (AF) susceptibility due to sleep deprivation (SD) by addressing Ca mishandling and atrial mitochondrial oxidative stress.
Methods: Adult rats received daily MLT or vehicle injections and were exposed to a modified water tank.
