In this editorial, we comment on the article by He , specifically in relation to the efficacy of bariatric surgery glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) therapy in the management of type 2 diabetes (T2D) associated with obesity. Bariatric surgery has now also been shown to be safe and effective in pre-teens and teenagers with obesity and T2D, but information on newer GLP-1RAs in these groups is predictably limited. In older individuals (age > 65 years), both bariatric surgery and GLP-1RA therapy improve cardiovascular outcomes.

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) has publicly commented that they do not support the reporting of large extravasations to patients or regulatory bodies. The comment cites recently published articles suggesting that extravasations are infrequent and not severe. The comment stresses the importance of ensuring patients are not apprehensive or resistant to nuclear medicine procedures because of "radiation paranoia" and a "chilling effect" that can result from misinformation.

Smoking rates in Europe are falling steadily among teenagers. The main reasons why young people start smoking are highlighted. Preventing young people from starting to smoke is based on a combination of three approaches: firstly, interventions in schools, incorporating educational programs from an early age; secondly, comprehensive tobacco control measures, such as bans on sales to minors and higher taxes on tobacco products; -thirdly, targeted communication campaigns.

Objectives: Existing guideline recommendations suggest considering corticosteroids for adjunct treatment of cellulitis, but this is based on a single trial with low certainty of evidence. The objective was to determine if anti-inflammatory medication (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs [NSAIDs], corticosteroids) as adjunct cellulitis treatment improves clinical response and cure.
