AI Article Synopsis

  • Two new compounds, wenyujinolides A and B, were discovered from the ethanol extract of a specific source, along with ten other known compounds.
  • The structural details of these new compounds were determined using advanced techniques like IR, ESIMS, HRESIMS, ECD, and 1D/2D NMR.
  • The newly identified compounds were tested for their ability to inhibit nitric oxide (NO) production in macrophages that were stimulated by LPS.

Article Abstract

Two new guaiane-type sesquiterpenes, wenyujinolides A () and B (), were isolated from the ethanol extract of , together with 10 known compounds. Their structures were established by extensive spectroscopic methods (IR, ESIMS, HRESIMS, ECD, 1D and 2D NMR) and comparison of their NMR data with literatures. Compounds and were evaluated for the inhibition of NO production in LPS induced RAW 264.7 macrophages.
