Pelvic venous disorder (PVD) is a common gynecological disorder caused by chronic pelvic venous congestion. Clinically, it primarily manifests as lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, dyspareunia, increased menstrual flow, and increased vaginal discharge, though positive physical signs are few. The gynecological examination may reveal bilateral ovarian tenderness.

This study develops predictive models for Chinese female patients with VL utilizing machine learning techniques. The aim is to create an effective model that can assist in clinical diagnosis and treatment of vaginal relaxation, thereby enhancing women's pelvic floor health. In total, 1184 women with VL have been randomly selected and categorized into groups using the finger measurement method.

Background: Examination maneuvers used to diagnose developmental hip dysplasia (DDH) translate poorly to video and written curricula. This poses a challenge to teaching the infant hip exam to orthopedic, family medicine, and pediatric trainees. This work investigated the impact of the MiHip simulation-based training program on residents' knowledge, confidence, and exam skills in the simulated setting, and translation of these skills to the clinical setting.

Dietary factors have recently been recognized as potentially influential in the pathogenesis of endometriosis (EM), yet studies on the causal relationship between dietary preferences and EM are limited. The present study aimed to explore the causal relationships between 187 dietary preferences and EM using Mendelian randomization (MR) methods. This study utilised genome-wide association study data from over 500,000 European participants for dietary preferences and 64,658 EM patients from Finland.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTo assess the diagnostic accuracy of self-collected urine and vaginal samples for the identification of precancerous cervical lesions in the referral population using high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) assays based on polymerase chain reaction (PCR). It was a prospective study carried out in China from June 2021 to March 2022. The vaginal and urine samples were collected and analyzed by using a newly developed specific hrHPV PCR test, and matched cervical samples were analyzed by using an approved hrHPV DNA test.
