Objective: is usually found in urogenital tract infections and is associated with several extra-genitourinary infections, including septic arthritis, bacteremia, and meningitis. Here, we report a rare case of induced bloodstream infection with thoracic inflammation in a surgical patient.
Methods: A 56-year-old male who underwent surgery for multiple pelvic and rib fractures developed fever, pleural effusion, and wound exudation despite receiving prophylactic anti-infection treatment with cefotiam.

Background: Costal cartilage injuries are unappreciated, and there is a paucity of reports on fixation methods. This study aims to evaluate the safety of titanium plate internal fixation for costal cartilage injuries.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 30 patients with costal cartilage injuries who underwent titanium plate internal fixation between April 2016 and November 2022 at our hospital.

Introduction: Costal margin rupture (CMR) injuries in association with intercostal hernia (IH) are rare and symptomatic and provide a significant surgical challenge. Surgical failure rates up to 60% are reported, and optimal techniques are unclear. We have characterized these injuries and describe the evolution of our surgical management techniques.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the short-term outcomes of single-port thoracoscopic rib fracture reduction and internal fixation for the treatment of multiple rib fractures.
Methods: This study included 149 patients with multiple rib fractures admitted to the Second People's Hospital Affiliated with Fujian University of Chinese Medicine between June 2021 and April 2024. The patients were divided into two groups based on the surgical method.
