Background: In Zambia, dementia prevalence is unknown due to limited community awareness and a lack of providers skilled in recognizing and diagnosing this disease. Community healthcare workers (CHWs) are widely utilized across sub-Saharan Africa to improve health care access, particularly HIV services.
