Rapid introgression of the clubroot resistance gene into cabbage skeleton inbred lines through marker assisted selection.

Mol Breed

February 2025

Key Laboratory of Biology and Genetic Improvement of Horticultural Crops, Ministry of Agriculture, Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, 100081 China.

Unlabelled: Clubroot, caused by , is a globally pervasive soil-borne disease that poses a significant challenge primarily in cruciferous crops. However, the scarcity of resistant materials and the intricate genetic mechanisms within cabbage present major obstacles to clubroot resistance (CR) breeding. In our previous research, we developed an Ogura CMS cabbage variety, "17CR3", which harbors the gene, crucial for CR.

Mitochondrial genome of : features, RNA editing, and insights into male sterility.

Front Plant Sci

January 2025

Bio-resource Research and Utilization Joint Key Laboratory of Sichuan and Chongqing, Chongqing Institute of Medicinal Plant Cultivation, Nanchuan, Chongqing, China.

Introduction: Mitochondria are essential organelles that provide energy for plants. They are semi-autonomous, maternally inherited, and closely linked to cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) in plants. , a widely used medicinal plant from the Caprifoliaceae family, is rich in chlorogenic acid (CGA) and its analogues, which are known for their antiviral and anticancer properties.

Background And Purpose: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) has been proposed to guide the anisotropic expansion from gross tumor volume to clinical target volume (CTV), aiming to integrate known tumor spread patterns into the CTV. This study investigate the potential of using a DTI atlas as an alternative to patient-specific DTI for generating anisotropic CTVs.

Materials And Methods: The dataset consisted of twenty-eight newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients from a Danish national DTI protocol with post-operative T1-contrast and DTI imaging.

Few performance validity tests exist for youth undergoing baseline testing for the management of sport-related concussion. This study provides an initial validation of a reliable span calculation from the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition Letter-Number Sequencing (LNS) subtest as a performance validity indicator for youth baseline testing (Reliable Letter-Number Span; RLNS). Youth athletes ( = 173) underwent baseline concussion testing for the management of sport-related concussion.

Current study investigates the medicinal applications of (Palash), the state flower of Jharkhand, India, focusing on synthesising biomodified copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) and its antifungal properties. Flavonoid content in the flower extract was quantified by aluminium chloride colorimetric analysis. CuO-NPs were synthesised via co-precipitation method and then modified with methanolic flower extract.
