Shoulder and elbow injuries are prevalent among baseball players, particularly pitchers, who experience repetitive eccentric loading of the shoulder, leading to muscle damage and increased injury risk. Nearly 40% of shoulder injuries in baseball occur in pitchers, with many facing low rates of return to sport. The rotator cuff (RC) muscles-supraspinatus (SSP), infraspinatus (ISP), subscapularis (SSC), and teres minor (TMin)-are crucial for shoulder stability, movement, and force generation, particularly in overhead sports.

This study investigates human semicircular canal (SCC) dynamics under off-center rotational conditions. Previous research has modeled human rotational perception and the dynamic response of the SCCs by assuming a centered rotation state, where the rotation axis aligns with the SCC's center. However, this assumption is not representative of most real-life rotational situations.

Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, P.O. Box 29222, Doha, Qatar; La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre, La Trobe University, Plenty Rd &, Kingsbury Dr, Bundoora, VIC, 3086, Australia. Electronic address:

Objectives: To provide normative values for between-limb asymmetry of hip strength and range of motion (ROM) in professional male soccer players and evaluate the relationship between these asymmetries and groin injury.

Design: Secondary analysis of a prospective cohort study.

Methods: A total of 438 professional male soccer players underwent musculoskeletal screening, injury and exposure surveillance over two consecutive seasons.

Purpose: To identify, synthesise, and critically appraise findings of systematic reviews and/or meta-analyses on hip preservation surgeries for borderline and/or frank dysplasia with or without concomitant femoroacetabular impingement (FAI).

Methods: A search, following the PRISMA guidelines, was conducted using Medline and Embase on 19/04/2023. Findings extracted from eligible studies were tabulated and synthesised.

Wearable robots, especially those composed of soft materials, are increasingly attracting interest due to their comfort, ease of donning and doffing, and their ability to provide assistance across various applications. In wearable robotics, striking a balance between ensuring low impedance for wearer comfort and providing sufficient assistive force is a notable design challenge. In this study, we propose exploiting impedance variation in accordance with the types of muscle contraction in the human body.
